July Technical Group Meeting Robert opened the meeting at 8.10pm with 24 people eventually attending. Ken attempted to give a demonstration of a medical therapy unit lighting three 150W lamps with no wires attached to them. The output comes from a 700W triode valve which are still available from suppliers for $700 to $800. Unfortunately the unit failed to spring into life so Ken began a repair job in the background while other presentations went on. I was next with a demonstration of the Joe Cell water charging unit, parts of which have been shown at previous meetings. Water flow rates, amount of bubbles produced, leakage of white gooey stuff and smelly water were mentioned as well as the fact that it is not performing like Uli's original. Uli followed with a demonstration of one of his Joe Cells. This one consists of a central carbon rod, a neutral tube which is a slightly larger diameter than the carbon rod, a three inch stainless positive tube, an aluminium top cone and a plastic container to hold the water. Uli said that a hard black non conductive coating forms on the inside of the cone while a non conductive gold coating forms on the outside of the neutral tube. This cell produced lots of tiny pure white bubbles with no scum developing on top of the water. Later in the evening Uli put the top on the cell and demonstrated the white bubbles oozing out of the top and dropping onto the table similar to Joe's cells as seen in the various videos. By this time Ken had repaired the therapy unit and proceeded to light the previously mentioned lamps and a small fluoro tube with the 27MHz produced between the electrodes. The unit has an automatic tuning device to match the load to the output of the unit. Ken is going to modify the machine so that it can be tuned manually. Once this is done, Rod plans to experiment with spraying water from a car petrol injector through a stainless steel tube which is placed within the field produced from this machine. As an aside, Ken said that an original Rife machine using a 812A transmitter triode valve has been found, the circuit traced and put on the Internet. A lively discussion then ensued on the difference between hydrogen production and orgone production from a Joe cell. The only way to tell the difference seems to be with a magnet suspended from a string. If it oscillates back and forth at a rate of once every three seconds (Time Relaxation Constant of Water - Pucharich Patent) then orgone is being produced. If it is still then you most probably have an electrolysis cell! Uli and Ken then placed a Joe cell in between the electrodes of the therapy unit and gave it a blast of 27MHz to see if anything unusual would happen. It didn't. Meanwhile I demonstrated a unit that I had put together from leftovers of other devices. The basis of the unit came from parts of a Lakhovsky oscillator that I built years ago. It is basically a transistor ignition circuit which fires a car coil. This has either an oscillator fed input so the coil fires continuously at the oscillator frequency or an external input so that by switching between +12v and ground the coil can be made to fire in synchronism with the input. I put the unit together for Uli to use in his experiments with using cell on a diesel engine. Geoff mentioned that the coil frequency range can be improved by removing the metal core. Cedric was next with a very interesting crystal set originating earlier last century and known as "Grandpa's Loose Coupler". It is based on two large tapped air wound coils , one slightly larger than the other so that the smaller one can slide inside the larger one. In this way the coupling of the two coils is changed for tuning. Cedric said that this was the first method of band spreading and the frequency range was from 300Khz to 2Mhz. Listening to the tuned signal was achieved with a pair of earphones and of course no batteries are needed. Philip then gave a very interesting explanation of various ways of how he came up with different designs (all non hydrogen powered) for the "leaning as it turns" vehicle. This vehicle leans into the corner as it turns, proportional to the sharpness of the turn and the road speed. In simple terms this means that a lever has to move depending on the previously mentioned parameters. Philip said that this could be done mechanically, hydraulically or electrically with servos, the general principle being the same for all three methods. All systems talked about had automatic feedback so that the operation appears seamless while driving the vehicle. Philip brought along some beautifully machined mechanisms that he has constructed to demonstrate that his theories work in practice. Uli has just returned from Berlin where he went to a Free Energy Conference run by mainstream academics who held the conference with the aim of getting some industry backing for their experiments. Seventy to eighty percent of presenters were working with over-unity devices. All technologies were to do with ZPE with the common thread being that an arc was required to release the energy. Subjects and devices presented included the following:
Other people Uli spoke to were a university student who has had a Bedini motor running for some time and Schauberger's grandson who is assisting a research group build some of his grandfather's machines. Uli said that Alternative technologies are taught in some universities with subjects like scalar waves included, showing that there is some serious research happenning in Europe, where it is not just the fringe experimenters like here in Australia. Ken spoke about Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) in house wiring and proposed a new system of wiring houses to eliminate it. He drew a parallel to the old valve radios and how the 50Hz hum was reduced in early sets by rewiring the heater wires into a balanced circuit from an unbalanced one. The house system uses a torroidal transformer where the power comes into the house, with the secondary centre-tapped to earth via an earth leakage circuit breaker. The outside windings then each become 120Volts with both wires effectively being an active wire. This means that all switches need to be double pole so that both wires are switched off/on. This gives a balanced circuit so that any EMR fields are totally balanced out, plus if there is any out of balance of current between the two active wires, the earth leakage circuit breaker will trip. This breaker can also be set for a much lower setting than is presently used in conventional wiring. Robert mentioned some experiences that he has had with a Tri-meter measuring EMR fields. Geoff demonstrated how to make high voltage capacitors for Tesla coils using polystyrene or plastic cups and aluminium foil. http://www.Fortunecity.com/greenfield/bp/16/foamcup.htm The foil is cut to match the shape of the cup and then wrapped around it. There is no need to use glue as the electrostatic charge on the plastic holds the foil on. Do this to two cups, then put one inside a plain cup, then these two together inside the other foiled one. This gives two plates for the capacitor plus insulation in between. Other topics covered by Geoff were changes in his website addresses, a WW2 crystal set and Adams motor coils. He brought along some coils he is using in a motor which are bifilar wound and have an approx. 10mm iron core while the magnets are approx 12mm. His motor will use 3 coils and 4 magnets. Finally Roger then gave a lights out demonstration of his home built high intensity LED torch mounted on an old pair of glasses. Roger decided he needed this after trying to chainsaw wood in the dark while holding a torch under his arm! The demonstration was complete with Roger wearing his best rubber boots to the meeting, or was that in case he met a good looking sheep on the way home??? The meeting officially closed at 10.45pm and was followed

Joe Cell Water Charger The following water charging device for the Joe Cell was designed by Uli a couple of years ago. Originally using Summit bottled spring water (from WA) and then water from his own rainwater tank, Uli could charge water to stage 3 in 10 to 20 minutes. This unit has since disappeared to NSW and so I decided to build one to the same design and see if I could repeat Ulis results. The accompanying drawings and digital photos show the construction of the unit so I will not go into too much detail but the basic unit consists of a 75mm stainless steel tube capped on each end by aluminium cones machined from 100mm diameter solid round stock. Inside the unit, the negative electrode consists of a 50mm carbon rod. The charging unit is arranged so that water can be recirculated through the unit via a pump and holding tank. Thanks must go especially to Lionel and also to Bob for their help in machining various parts for the unit as well as to Uli for the design and supply of water for the initial tests. Since assembling the complete system it has been plagued with leaks so getting the whole thing up and running has been quite difficult. The tests so far have been very disappointing with only a small amount of bubbles similar to a normal cell. These bubbles have built up with subsequent tests but the unit is definitely not performing the same as Ulis original. All test have been recorded with the clubs digital camera so that people can see the bubbles, etc themselves. One thing that I have noticed is that a small leak has developed near the base of the stainless steel pipe which has some white goo in it. It looks like something inside the cell may have dissolved in the rain water so no doubt all will be revealed when I pull the unit apart. This is possibly the reason the cell is not working. Using the magnet on a string test, the magnet was moving back and forth at the usual once every three seconds but the magnitude of the oscillations was not as great as I have experienced before. This could mean that the field is not as strong or the cell is not as leaky to thew field as previous ones. I also noticed that the magnet was slightly attracted to the stainless steel tube. So that is the report up to now, I shall keep trying but so far it is not looking good. Bruce Note: Bruce sent in 40 photo's with the above tests, I will endevor to put them up in a special page...Ken |

ASTRO MEETING Friday July the 12th 2002 |
PETER'S PAGE The meeting started at 8.05 pm and was opened with a welcome to all by Ken and as Robert was running late, it was decided to hold the AGM after the General meeting and Guest Speaker. Jan...started the evening off by talking about the Gravity Wheel and the Webb site http://www.besslerwheel.com this site gives the instructions on how the Bessler Wheel (a renown perpetual motion device of the 18th century) worked. Jan, with the aid of a tricky biscuit tin, a plank and a white board explained how the Bessler Wheel worked. Jan, as usual, stretched our sleepy minds and fascinated everyone with his explanations and demonstrations.
Ken...then introduced Ian Hobbs as the Guest Speaker. Topic...Feng Shui AGM The AGM took a long time as the constitution was upgraded to better cover the office holders and members in these increasingly litigious times. A light supper concluded another interesting night.
Until next time. |
